Don Jazzy, Phyno Lead Headies 2014 Nominations

The 2014 headies award nominees have been announced, and Don Jazzy and Phyno lead with 6 nominations.

Don Jazzy leads Nigeria with his impressive 5 nominations for the track “Don Jazzy” which dominated in five categories,Producer Of The Year, Best Collabo, Best Pop Single, Song Of The Year, Best Street-Hop Artiste.

Indigenous rapper, Phyno dominates in many ways with mentions in the Artiste Of The Year,  Album Of The Year (No Guts No Glory), Best Street-Hop Artiste (Alobam), Best Rap Single (Parcel & Dope Money), Best Rap Album (No Guts No Glory).

Rave of the moment, Davido is also in with a shout, as he has nominations in 4 categories, which include, Best Artiste, Song of The Year (Aye), Best Street-Hop Artiste (Shoki Remix), Best Pop Single (Aye).

Dancehall act Patoranking, who has put in a good shift in the year in review, also has his due reward, with 5 nominations in Next Rated, Best Collabo (Girlie O Remix, Emergency),  Best Reggae/Dancehall Single (Girlie O, Murda), categories.

In the non-pop categories, Loopy Music Singer, Ruby Gyang is in with a shout for her ‘Good Man’ single in the ‘Best Alternative Song’, she comes up against BOJ, Black Magic and Nosa.

Other top acts included in the list include Wizkid, Ice Prince, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Olamide, Dr Sid, Yemi Alade, and others.
